ILL is about acceptance. It plays with the theme of misfits in society.

To a certain extent, this is a huge representation of society – where people are quick to discriminate and stereotype based on first impressions. Through this film, I want to explore humanity, going in-depth about the double standards of humans, especially how we treat one another.
Other than targeting the genre-driven audiences, I hope that this film could make most of us aware that instead of society changing us, people struggle to change just to fit into society. In addition, I want to touch upon the point that while people might seem normal on the surface, but behind closed doors, we all have a problem that we may not admit.

The film is not a root solution for the issue, but rather to be thought provoking so that we will be able to learn how to accept one another, instead of trying to change one another to fit in.

All I’m asking is to show a little concern, a simple thanks and smile and it will go a long way in making a difference in society. Care can be prevention.
